Who’s That Girl by Madonna was released on June 30, 1987, with White Heat as the B side. It was a single from the soundtrack album of the same name. The movie also starred Madonna, along with Griffin Dunne.

The song was a No. 1 hit in several countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom. It was Madonna’s sixth No. 1 single in the United States, making her the first artist to accumulate six  No. 1 singles in the 1980s. She was also the first female performer to get that many No. 1 singles as a solo act.
