Runnin’ Down a Dream by Tom Petty was released on July 29, 1989, with Alright for Now as the B side. It was a single from Petty’s debut solo album, Full Moon Fever.

The music video for Runnin’ Down a Dream featured animation based on several episodes of the Winsor McCay comic strip Little Nemo in Slumberland, featuring a drawing style reminiscent of McCay’s and showing Petty as one of the comic strip’s characters, Flip, traveling through Slumberland.
