(The U.S. single, released in 1982, featured Memorabilia as the B side.) The song, originally released in 1965 by Gloria Jones, was the second single from the album Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret.

The song was a No. 1 hit in the United Kingdom. It spent a record-breaking 43 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States before peaking at No. 8 in the summer of 1982.
