Rock This Town by the Stray Cats was released in the United Kingdom on January 29, 1981, with Can’t Hurry Love as the B side. It was a single from the band’s U.K. debut album Stray Cats. In the United States, the song was first released on the 1982 album Built for Speed.

Rock This Town peaked at No. 9 on both the UK Singles chart in 1981 and on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1982. It was the first of three Top 10 hits for the Stray Cats in the United States; Stray Cat Strut and (She’s) Sexy + 17 were the others.
